The exclusive “Excellent&Rare” brand of the Singold distillery comprises premium products that are selected according to the strictest standards. Its special feature is the “double cask matured finishing”, which is the final touch to a perfect product.
Our rum matures naturally and does not contain any caramel colors, additional sugar or artificial flavors. In contrast to the solera method, our age specifications refer to the ageing period of the youngest rum used.
The Black Edition of our rum is distilled from so-called “virgin sugar cane honey”. After maturing for 10 years, it is given its final polish in Singold whisky casks.

Tasting Notes:
The 10-year-old “Excellent and Rare” rum offers an impressive aroma and taste experience. Its raw materials, production process and maturation have given it a variety of flavors.
This rum not only presents sweet, warm and oily aromas, but also a delicately spicy and yet very fruity side, accompanied by balanced roasted and woody flavors. Notes of toffee meet milk chocolate and fine orange zest.
On the palate, the rum from Panama is full-bodied and oily, with notes of fine bitter chocolate and vanilla, accompanied by baked apple notes and a pleasant spiciness of marzipan, cedar and walnut.
The finish offers a persistent interplay of warmth, sweetness and light bitter almond.
