The exclusive “Excellent&Rare” brand of the Singold distillery comprises a selection of premium products that are selected according to the strictest standards. Each product gets its special touch from the “double cask matured finishing”, which gives them the finishing touch of a perfect masterpiece.
Our rum matures naturally and does not contain any caramel colors, additional sugar or artificial flavors. In contrast to the solera method, our age specifications refer to the actual ageing period of the youngest rum used. For our Platinum Edition, the rum is distilled from sugar cane molasses and after an impressive 25 years of maturation, it is finished in Scotch casks.

Tasting Notes
The 25-year-old Platinum Rum from “Excellent & Rare” seduces with an aromatic composition of powerful, balanced sweetness. The pleasure experience opens with notes of roasted almonds, rum pot and dried fruit, accompanied by a hint of heavily toasted wood and an abundance of spices such as cinnamon and clove.
The palate initially develops a sweet oak note, which gradually changes into a honey-sweet smokiness of hickory wood. Manuka honey and cold charcoal fire give the flavor a unique depth, while notes of stuffed peach with marzipan and a hint of demerara sugar provide a complex sweetness.
This rum is robust and long-lasting, with a pleasant aftertaste of green tea. A taste experience that seduces all the senses and remains in the memory.
