The exclusive “Excellent&Rare” brand from the Singold distillery comprises a hand-picked selection of premium products selected to the highest standards. Its special feature is the “double cask matured finishing”, which gives each product the finishing touch of a perfect masterpiece.
Our rum matures naturally and does not contain any caramel colors, additional sugar or artificial flavors. Unlike the solera method, our age specifications refer exclusively to the actual ageing period of the youngest rum used. For our Gold Edition, the rum is distilled from selected sugar cane molasses and after an impressive 18 years of maturation, it receives its refreshing finish in tequila barrels.

Tasting Notes
The “Gold Edition” perfectly reflects its history. On the one hand, the exquisite sugar cane, whose molasses is distilled into rum, and on the other, the post-maturing in tequila barrels to be kissed twice by the sun.
A powerful, sweet and yet fresh nose unfolds from the very first whiff. A dessert of dark chocolate mousse with overripe bananas and a hint of fresh mint spreads out. This is accompanied by subtle notes of grappa, while the sweetness of acacia honey and cinnamon always resonates in the background.
A variety of aromas unfold on the palate, from fine licorice and liquorice to ripe bananas, coconut and cocoa, accompanied by roasted aromas of cold coffee. Delicate herbal notes float along and lend the rum a complex, refined and exotic note.
The sweetness of licorice and raisins lingers in the finish, making this rum an exotic, powerful and refined pleasure experience.
