Description
The SINGLE MALT WHISKY from THOUSAND MOUNTAINS DISTILLERY is very fruity and elegant on the nose. Initially, dark berry components reminiscent of blackcurrant are in the foreground, paired with spicy, sometimes floral notes, as well as subtle green herbal nuances from the red wine barrel. Despite its 47% alcohol by volume, the alcohol fades into the background.
The single malt whisky is very powerful in the mouth. The alcohol appears elegant and yet voluminous and expansive, the fruitiness present in the nose recedes and the whisky presents itself much “drier” than one would have expected from the nose. The spicy notes become more present. The berry components only emerge again in the finish.
